Is there any word on support for Z wave JS? Looks like most HA users are moving to z wave JS.

I posted before I purchase and installed. The blinds work perfectly with Z Wave JS. Paired and configuration options all work as expected.

@redman_no1- I'm having a very different experience than you have identified.

No matter what I do, no matter what setting I set the tilt position to, I cannot get these blinds to open more than 25%

If possible can you share you config or how are you opening the blinds ?

I am using a standard HA automation the open the blind as a cover, with a defined tilt / open percentage.

I have successfully installed multiple iBlinds v3 with latest Home Assistant Zwave JS and they work great.

The controls work great using cover.open, close, and set position services.

However, I would prefer they use the cover.set_cover_tile_position, cover.open_cover_tilt, and cover.close_cover_tilt services, that more accurately reflect what the iblinds are controlling - rather than the position that they do not control at all.

Can anyone help with a way to configure this?

@marper8521 I didn't really do anything special in my configuration. I just added them via the Z Wave JS UI and I ended up with four entities for each blind motor:  switch, cover, battery level, and battery is low (binary sensor)

@dparsons

Although using Cover.Set position with the slider / percentage appear to work with opening and closing the blinds, its not exact.  For example, in the configuration of the individual blind motor entity, initial open position is set to 50%, while my Cover.set position is set to 65%, the blinds in some cases will only open to 25 or 30% and require manual adjustment.

None of the settings appear to allow for exact percent settings for open.  While closing the blinds using Cover.Set position should be a no brainer, Zero (0) does not appear to mean zero.  When some of my blinds close they close tight and what I would consider zero position.  However, thats not the case for all.  Out of 10 blinds, I believe I have 2 that actually do that, however, it varies because today they close to zero, other days may only close to 3% or so.

I would definitely like to see more stability in this area.

@dparsons I can only get my to open and close to the value stored in the "Default ON Value" via the cover.open and close service. or alternatively by turning the blind's switch entity on or off.  I too would love to know how to use the set tilt position service.

What I'd really like to do is know how to use a ikea symfonisk sound controller (rotary remote) to increment and decrement the position value so I can manually adjust the blind's tilt positions.

I'm using Home Assistant with Z-Wave JS to MQTT.  Is it possible to update iBlinds firmware via OTA method?

Maybe if you can get your device to pair to your z wave network. I've had to basically chuck 2 of my 4 motors in the garbage because they became unresponsive and unable to be revived. Support is non existent. I'm going to move on and look for alternative motors.
