I believe I have the same blinds as you. Rather than change out my blinds, I was wondering if you would share how you made the iBlind work for your blinds? What modifications did you make and is it still working?

Thanks!

Does anyone know if iBlinds works with 2" Levelor blinds?

Yes, iblinds works with 2" Levolor blinds. The headrail is wide enough except along its top edge, where the metal headrail walls are folded over. But with a bit of effort you can hold the top of the headrail open wide enough long enough to slide the iblinds unit past it. No modification or reworking of the headrail is needed. I have three of these and they work fine.

so here is my frustration.. started out with blinds.com.. regular and premium.. both required metal work... they work ok.. but how long until motor wears out.. i also got the tilt mechanism 1/2 turn out of alignment, so the blinds droop when open..  might go back and try to fix that at some point.. now on to our back windows.. ordered normans.. well they changed their design and now and are no longer a box rail.. they have a curve to them.. no amount of metal work will make it work.. so then I ordered some 2 1/2 in levelors.. guess what... the rod is too small for the adapter..  spun for a second, now it just free spins because the adapter is just a hair to big..  the rod is basically a rectangle now..  going to try some tape or maybe even epoxy, or maybe jsut jam somehing in there.. lol.. not sure what to do..  this stuffs getting expensive..  i hear justblinds may work?

Did you get a clear answer to this ?  There is only 1 response.  I have Levolor 2" blinds and I have tried everything possible to get the motor in that head rail and not only have I applied full body pressure, but it's just not snapping in.

Have you been able to get this to work.

Its been awhile now since I installed these but here's my memory:

The U-shaped head rail is wide enough for the iblinds unit except at the top of the U, where flanges along the front and back narrow the opening. You need to pull the U open just a bit to slide the ibinds in. If you use a rear corner of the iblinds unit to push the back while you pull at the front with your fingers you can wedge the unit into the opening. Once one end of the unit is itself holding the U open you can shove the rest in. As soon is it moves past the flanges the U will snap back to its original width.

Thank you for your input.  It appears that my blinds - purchased at Lowes (Levelor) may not be compatible at all.  But I'm gonna make them work.
